Happy November! Can you believe that there are only two months left in 2020?! We’re only seven days into the new month and already we feel like it’s December 1st. It’s been a world win of a week for us. Rachael was a poll worker for the United States election on Tuesday, November 3rd. For that reason, we are posting our monthly wrap-up a little late.
We hope everyone had a great October! Both Danielle and Skyler celebrated birthdays last month. Another reason why this post was delayed is because Danielle’s birthday gift to herself was remodeling her bedroom (old carpet was ripped up, new furniture was bought, and existing furniture was rearranged) – she’s still in the process of placing items (mainly books – she’s got a HUGE library) back into her room. Rachael may have been recruited in helping her with the remodeling job. Did you participate in any fun activities or read any good books in October? Our October reading stats are below!
Danielle | Rachael | Skyler | |
Number of Books Read | 9 | 7 | 1 |
Favorite Book | I read several great books this month, so it’s hard to choose just one. Some of my favorites were: Whispering Pines, The Girl and the Ghost, and Kingdom of the Wicked. | It’s a tie between Instant Karma and Anxious People. | I was only able to read one book this month: The Upside of Falling. I rated it 3 stars. |
Goodreads Challenge | 68/50 | 95/75 | 31/50 |
Other Challenges | ABC Challenge: 7/26 Little Inklings: 25/40 | ABC Challenge: 22/26 Fox and Wit: 9/35 Little Inklings: 38/40 | N/A |
Top 5 TBR | Once I finish reading A Deadly Education, I’m planning on a science fiction binge: 1. Goddess in the Machine 2. Soul of Stars 3. To Sleep in a Sea of Stars 4. Empress of a Thousand Skies 5. Babylon’s Ashes | I’m still picking books based on my mood. It’s worked well for the last two months. | I’m focusing on wrapping up the first marking period, so it limits my time to read for pleasure. |
We’ve read a total 17 books this month! Below are images of all the books that we’ve read. All images are gathered from Goodreads.

Let us know what your stats are in the comments. If you do a wrap-up, link it so that we can take a look. We hope everyone has a great November and that you get lots of reading done!
PS: We wanted to let you know that there won’t be a post tomorrow as we’re posting today. Our schedule is going to change a little bit for the next couple of weeks as we parcipate on blog tours. Be on the lookout for those posts!
