It’s time to announce our November Book Club pick! The book was selected by our followers on Instagram. If you haven’t taken a look at our Instagram, you can do so by clicking here. In November, we will post a vote to select our December Book Club read. Be on the lookout for that post! The book that was picked for November is Crenshaw by Katherine Applegate.
Below is our suggested reading schedule. Please note that we are no longer using our Facebook group (Always, Bookish Lovers Book Club) to host our discussions. Beginning with our October Book Club read, we transitioned our discussions to our Instagram. We found that it was easier to host discussions on Instagram as opposed to Facebook. The listed dates are the days in which discussion questions will be posted in the comments of an Instagram post. For your convenience, all discussion posts for November’s Book Club read will feature Crenshaw in the photo. On each assigned discussion day, we will share three questions in the comments. All discussion questions will come from Macmillan’s teacher guide for Crenshaw. The teacher guide can be accessed by clicking here. You are always welcome to post your own questions in the comments as well.
Discussion Question Schedule:
Monday, November 9th: Chapters 1-13
Monday, November 16th: Chapters 14-26
Monday, November 23rd: Chapters 27-39
Monday, November 30th: Chapters 40-End
For each date mentioned, our weekly discussions will be based on the chapters listed above. If you aren’t able to read them, that’s okay! The discussion questions will be there for you to answer when you have finished the readings for that particular week. Please be mindful that there may be spoilers in the comments and/or questions.
