OwlCrate June 2020 Unboxing

Danielle and Rachael’s June 2020 OwlCrate box arrived a couple of weeks ago! Last week, we unboxed the whole box and participated in Owlcrate’s photo challenge on our Instagram if you want to take a look. The theme for OwlCrate’s June 2020 box was All the World’s a Stage. Currently, OwlCrate still has a waitlist for August’s box. August’s theme is Written in the Stars. More details about August’s theme are available on this Instagram post. Owlcrate had previously mentioned that there would be more open spots for August, but haven’t opened up subscriptions yet.

The Items Included:

  1. Ace of Shades inspired shower steamer in the scent of coffee and orange, designed by @whippedupwonderful
  2. The Night Circus inspired pencil cup/coin bank, designed by @forensicsandflowers
  3. The Greatest Showman inspired habit tracker, designed by @paperbackbones
  4. Mini donut flavored coffee inspired by Cirque Du Freak, created by @bonescoffeecompany
  5. A pin inspired by the monthly book pick, designed by @blissfullybookishtees

The Book:

OwlCrate’s book of the month was Where Dreams Descend by Janella Angeles. While this book does not release until August 25, 2020, OwlCrate was given special permission to release the book early in their box. The book features an exclusive foil cover with no dust jacket, meaning the front of the book is right on the hardback. Where Dreams Descend is also signed by the author.

Did you receive the June OwlCrate box? What did you think of it? Danielle really liked the pencil cup, book pick, and habit tracker. She’s excited to start reading Where Dreams Descend!

We’re a sister duo and a best friend from Virginia, USA who absolutely love books! We all met while Danielle and Skyler were in college. Danielle and Skyler are teachers and Rachael is aspiring to be a librarian. As well as having a bookstagram, we co-run a blog together where we review books, post unboxings of other subscription boxes, and offer reading resources for parents and educators.
